Community Road Safety Morning – Support the 20mph Campaign
RAF Boulmer Road Safety Committee is hosting a Community Road Safety Morning to promote safe driving and encourage support for the village’s 20mph speed limit.
📅 Friday 3 July
⏰ 10:00–12:00 (meet at Bader Crescent, Longhougton for 09:30)
Residents, local organisations, schools, and businesses are warmly invited to take part. The event will bring the community together at several locations across the village, with children and volunteers displaying “20 is Plenty” and “Honk if you are going 20” banners to raise awareness among drivers.
There will also be a road safety stall, vehicle displays from the RAF Mechanical Transport team, and support from RAF Police and (subject to availability) Northumbria Police.
Participants are encouraged to wear organisation-branded high-vis, uniforms or football kits, and to bring along homemade banners to show community support.
This is a great opportunity to promote road safety, engage with local families, and demonstrate a shared commitment to keeping our village safe.
