I have always been interested in driving:   Safe Driver of the Year 1972;  21 years involved in rallying, as a navigator, then organizer; 17 years as a Northumbria Police trained blue light response driver of a Mountain Rescue Landrover as a member of Northumberland National Park Mountain Rescue Team.

I hold an Advanced Driver qualification and I am a fully qualified Observer for the Institute of Advanced Motorists. I also observe and carry out yearly assessments of drivers for Northumbria Blood Bikes.
